Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church
PROJECT : VIETNAMESE MARTYRS CATHOLIC CHURCH
CLIENT : VIETNAMESE MARTYRS CATHOLIC CHURCH
LOCATION : HOUSTON, TEXAS
ARCHITECT : STUDIO RED ARCHITECTS
This project included removing and replacing most of the existing Sanctuary of the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, originally constructed in 1992. The new facility almost doubles the seating capacity and better accommodates the growing Vietnamese/American congregation at the parish. The façade is highly ornamented in recognition of the Church’s Vietnamese heritage, and the high-end interior finishes include marble flooring and wood trim throughout. Historic stained-glass windows from the Archdiocese’s original Co-Cathedral were relocated and installed in the Sanctuary.
